The move, dubbed ‘Know the BJP’, is an attempt by the Saffron Party to connect with the governments of these countries.

In a wide-ranging diplomatic campaign in foreign countries, BJP chief JP Nadda will hold talks with foreign ambassadors of BIMSTEC countries on Wednesday to mark the party’s founding day. The move, dubbed ‘Know the BJP’, is an attempt by the Saffron Party to connect with the governments of these countries.

In the interaction, the BJP delegation of ambassadors is expected to provide an overview of its culture, ideology, program and work. According to party sources, ambassadors from Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and the United Arab Emirates, as well as from East Asian and European countries, will attend the BJP’s founding day on April 6.

Vijay Chauthaivale, in-charge of the BJP’s foreign affairs department, said the ambassadors would contact BJP chief Nadda to find out more about the world’s largest political party. This is part of the month-long observation of the founding day of the BJP.

“It has everything to do with knowing the team and briefing foreign ambassadors about us, and there is no element of foreign policy in the negotiations,” Chauthaivale said.

The incident took place just days after Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba visited the party headquarters.
