Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to review performance before Orissa cabinet reshuffle

In the second or third week of this month, amid speculation of a possible cabinet reshuffle, Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will review the performance of the ministers. Sources told News18 that some ministers will lose their posts and several new faces will be added.

For Patnaik, performance will be the key parameter for the inclusion of ministers in the cabinet. All the ministers have to submit their report cards to the Chief Minister. Ministers will inspect, how the 5T is being implemented in their respective departments and their department’s future plans will be given top priority in the report card.

The departments focus on education, health, child development, finance, panchayat, housing, drinking water, food and supplies, higher education and public works.

“I report every month, my department has submitted 6 detailed reports including the itinerary of what I am doing. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will decide on the next course of action as per the report, ”I&PR Minister Raghunandan Das told News18.

The Patnaik government will mark the third year of its fifth term on May 29 this year. The minister will submit a report on how his department has been fulfilling its promises for the last three years. Patnaik will review the report in the presence of the secretaries.

The Ministers will brief the Chief Minister on the success of 5 major programs in their department and 5 major programs including the Mo Government.
