Prime Minister Modi, Nadda and other BJP leaders wearing new saffron caps

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president JP Nadda and other office bearers were seen wearing new saffron hats on the party’s 42nd founding day in New Delhi on Wednesday. The new cap, emblazoned with the party symbol (lotus), carries a message, “A new cap, a new mission.”

The cap, designed by the BJP Gujarat unit, is somewhat of a traditional Uttarakhand hat – the Brahma Kamal – worn by the Prime Minister on Republic Day.

The new cap has been made quite fashionable to attract the youth, and Gujarat BJP president CR Patil distributed it to all MPs at the BJP parliamentary session.

“Many designs of the cap were reviewed after which the final was approved by the state leadership and prepared in Surat, known as the textile hub of the country,” said a BJP leader.

According to sources, the party will use the new saffron hat extensively in the Gujarat Assembly elections later this year. The special kit, which contains five caps and nutritious chocolate, is for BJP MPs and office bearers.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi said earlier in the day that India stands firm with its interests while being seen as a nation that can speak for humanity at a time when the world is divided into two rival factions.

“Today, India stands firmly before the world with its interests without any fear or pressure. When the whole world is divided into two rival factions, India is seen as a nation that can speak with conviction of humanity, “said Prime Minister Modi on the 42nd founding day of the BJP.
