Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said he was inclined to listen to NCP MP Supriya Sul, who was speaking as softly as National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah at the time.
After a whole series of memes and internet jokes about his conversation with NCP’s Supriya Sul during the Lok Sabha proceedings, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor finally responded on Thursday that the Baramati MP was only asking him a policy question. He said that during their “brief exchange of views”, he was inclined to listen to Sul, who was speaking softly during the speech of then-National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah.
A video clip of the two leaders talking has gone viral, featuring and digging into many super-imposing movie songs. The video follows a brief discussion on “the situation in Ukraine” on April 5.
Thiruvananthapuram MP Tharoor tweeted: “For those in the Lok Sabha who are enjoying @supriyaSule for our brief exchange and at my expense, he asked me a policy question as he goes on to speak next. He was soft-spoken so as not to bother Farooq Saheb, so I leaned over to listen to him.
