Progressive Socialist Party Lohia (PSPL) chief Shivpal Yadav tweeted a quatrain from Ramcharitamanas on Monday morning, describing Bhagwan Ram as the best teacher for family and nation building, amid speculation of his transformation into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Sources said that Yadav may visit Hanumangarhi and Ram Lalla in Ayodhya soon.
On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Shivpal Yadav tweeted: “Chaitra Navratri is a moment of faith as well as a moment of connection with the ideals of Lord Rama.”
Raghunath woke up in the morning. Earlier, Yadav followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Twitter along with former deputy CM Dinesh Sharma.
Although the BJP has blown up the talk of Yadav joining the BJP, there are rumors that the party may make him the Deputy Speaker of the UP Assembly like Nitin Agarwal of the previous government.
A Deputy Speaker is usually elected from the Opposition and sits next to the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly. In that case, Yadav could sit next to his nephew and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Yadav had contested the recent election for the SP symbol from the traditional Yashwantnagar constituency of Etawah district. Last week, Yadav met Yogi at his official residence in Lucknow for about 20 minutes. Sources close to Yadav said that the PSPL chief may soon make some big announcements to release his nephew’s tie-up.
Yadav, who is obviously not happy with the alliance with his nephew and SP, said it was not the right time for him to speak. The PSPL chief convened a core committee meeting of his party’s office bearers in Lucknow on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Yadav said, “Now is not the time to say anything. I also want to appeal to my team members not to worry. “
The PSPL chief denied rumors of a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. “We discussed our team’s strategy in today’s meeting,” Yadav said.
Yadav said on March 26 that despite being an SP MLA, he was not called for a review meeting of party MLAs in Lucknow. However, the SP later clarified that Yadav had his own party and he was an ally and a meeting for allies was scheduled later.
