Yogi Adityanath says BJP is the only party that puts the country above all else

LUCKNOW: The BJP is the only party that puts the country above all else and its journey is a surprise for political analysts, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday. Speaking at a function held at the BJP state headquarters in Lucknow on the 42nd founding day of the party, Yogi said that whether it is the BJP government at the center or in the states, it represents the sentiments of every citizen of the country.

“The interests of the nation are paramount for us. It is the only political party in the country that puts the country first.” Following the motto of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, “We try to reach the people at the end of society”, Adityanath said. “The BJP’s journey is a matter of curiosity and surprise to political analysts in the country and around the world,” he said. The BJP was the largest political party in the world and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its president JP Nadda is building trust among the common people towards democracy, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said.

Referring to the ups and downs of the BJP’s journey, he said, “The Indian People’s Union was formed during the country’s first general election in 1952. Its purpose was not to politicize power, but to create a sense of devotion to India.” On the Ram Mandir issue, he said, “No one can doubt the dedication of BJP workers to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, the biggest cultural movement since independence.” “To save democracy, the Jana Sangh of India has risen above its party politics and formed an alliance with the Janata Party. The Jana Sangh has expressed its commitment to democracy and India.” After this “failed test”, the BJP was formed in 1980 “Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani and all those great men pledged to establish the BJP as a party representing the sentiments of the country,” Adityanath said. He said that during the biggest epidemic of this century, the Modi government had given free rations to 800 million people. “It is the Modi government that saved the lives of 135 crore people during the epidemic. Tests, treatments and vaccines have been made available free of cost. So far, 185 crore vaccine doses have been given in the country … No government other than India is giving free vaccines to its citizens,” Adityanath Said.

Referring to various welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments, he said, “The BJP government has given the benefit of the scheme to every deserving person without any discrimination.” Adityanath added, “As we celebrate the 42nd founding day of the BJP, we all need to prepare ourselves to go through new tests every day to fulfill these aspirations of every citizen.”
